| Message | The Verma family welcomes volunteers from all around the world: United Kingdom, Canada, USA, Germany, France, Netherlands, Finland, New Zealand, Japan, etc. Volunteers stay with Mr Verma and his family in a large communal building and are treated as members of the family. The food is typical of the area and includes rice, chappaties, vegetables, curries and lentils. The Verma family provides all the help and support needed while in the village.
Living with an Indian family gives real insight into the culture of a rural Indian household and is an invaluable experience. Some members of the family do not speak English but most do. Non-verbal language helps to communicate in all situations! The family is vibrant, loving and charming.
