| Description | INFO always welcomes all volunteers, however, this month we have a special and urgent request from a Medical Clinic in Kathmandu for volunteers to assist with their work.
The Clinic consists of::- A Dental Practice, General Medical Practice, Pathology Laboratory, and Xray Unit, and sets aside Sundays for a vaccination programme.
Their policy is to provide health care for the needy, and when their is a volunteer being the health provider, the service to the patient is free.
They are looking Volunteers in Medical Field, if possible. The Clinic regularly needs volunteer Doctors, Dentists, Nurses and Therapists/General Physician and Medical Technologist from abroad to work alongside the full-time Nepalese staff, offering their skills free of charge to the people using the Clinic.
They organize fieldwork like School Health Programs and Dental Camps in and around the valley., and also focus on programs for de-worming and malnutrition.
The Clinic would like to extend Their programs to include case studies and research into HIV and STD. If any researcher has funds available for use in this area, please apply!. They don’t have funding and resources available in their regular expenditure. budget.
Normally the Clinic opens at 7.30a.m. and works until 8.30 p.m. ,but for volunteers, they are happy to discuss times that are suitable.
The Camps start early in the morning through to 5.30 in the evening
